Hospice Care
Dr. Doub firmly believes that end of life care, or "hospice care" is very important for your pet.  At your pet ages, it may become more difficult or stressful to physically bring your pet to the hospital, even for routine care.  Routine health checks performed at least every 6 months are important, especially in our senior pets.  Dr. Doub and her staff offer house calls to her established clientele in order to provide continued care for our patients even as they age.

Making end of life decisions for your pet is for most clients, the most difficult decision that they will make in their lives. Dr. Doub firmly believes that the euthanasia process should be peaceful at all times for both the pet and their human families.  At UPVH, we offer several different euthanasia options to minimize stress in this difficult time.  We have a designated comfort room to accommodate larger families as well as other pets during the process.  We also have an outdoor garden to accommodate those pets who would like to spend their last moments enjoying the sunshine.  Finally, we offer house call euthanasia for those pets who feel more comfortable in their home environments or for families who want to offer individualized ceremonies for their pets.

This service is offered to established clients only and there is an additional charge for this service.
